EPQ Plan

My main target for my EPQ is to answer the big question:

Are books ruined when they are taken to the TV or film screen?

Throughout my life, I have heard and seen a lot of opposing arguments in response to this question, so I am setting myself the task to see if books are generally better when transformed into visual entertainment, or whether they should be left as they were created on paper. Although this topic may be slightly opinion based, I will remain as neutral as possible, and use the reviews of critics, the general public and the winning of awards to come to my conclusion.

General aims:

Complete - October 2021 - Case study on classics & whether or not they were successfully made into films. Little Women, Pride & Prejudice, The Great Gatsby.

Complete - December 2021 - Case study on some more modern / children series such as Harry Potter or the Chronicles of Narnia and the impact both the books and films have had on society. Which was more successful?

Complete - November 2021 - Case study on a book turned into a tv show and why they chose to do that instead of a film. Was it successful? The Handmaid's Tale, Bridgeton, etc...
